Trail Etiquette

As a matter of safety, good trail etiquette can eliminate many skier concerns.  The following is a list of etiquette and safety tips MBNA promotes for trail users.

General Trail Etiquette

  • Be courteous!
  • Be aware of other skiers.
  • When approaching a slower skier with intent to pass, let them know you are approaching.
  • Yield to skiers coming down hill.
  • Follow one way signs for the trails.

Race Day Etiquette

  • There will be signs notifying skiers of races. The race schedule is also available on our Racing Page.
  • When races are in progress make sure dogs are leashed or leave them at home. This is for the safety of the racers as well as the dogs!
  • The course will be marked with flags or arrows.  Please do not disturb the markings.
  • Please yield to racers on the trail.
